Bill Nye's Climate Lab at the Chabot Space and Science Center

We visited Bill Nye’s terrific Climate Lab at the Chabot Space and Science Center in Oakland, CA on Saturday May 7, 2011.  I didn’t get to play around with the exhibits as much as I’d like (that’s what happens when you have two year old twins) but I was very impressed with the smart use of new media and the ways the exhibit got kids to participate.  The focus was mostly on solutions to the climate problem, which was a refreshing change, and the technical information it provided was almost all on the mark.  I heartily recommend this exhibit for those in the Bay area who are interested.  It’s a very nice way to educate kids about climate.

I’ve provided some photos below.   The light level in the exhibit is much brighter than the photos indicate.
